We have a wide range of strong partners including Döhler, John Deere, NX FOOD, StartLife and DIL, to provide unique expertise and insight. On top of that, we provide an extensive network of experienced founders and business experts who help you tackle your individual challenges during the programme. With TUM, we also have a strong academic partner on board. In total, we provide each team with up to 3 mentors covering different topics and perspectives.

Access to state-of-the-art facilities

We provide office space in the Munich Urban Colab, an exciting new innovation hub opening soon in the center of Munich, access to an amazing makerspace and other prototyping facilities provided by our partners. Each startup also receives a grant from EIT Food for the finishing touch of your products.

Winner – EIT FAN 2018

Wisefood has created the world's first edible straw made of apple pomace to offer a more sustainable and ecological alternative. Since graduating from the program, the startup has sold more than 10 million straws and counting. Well-known brands like Transgourmet, METRO, EDEKA, REWE, NOVOTEL, Mecure Hotel and many more have already bought wisefood-straws.


Winner – EIT FAN 2019

Orbem’s AI-driven imaging method GENUS makes it possible to determine the fertility and sex of poultry embryos still in the egg. The startup, part of the 2019 EIT FAN, has raised well over 1M € in public grants and prize money since the start of the programme to turn its vision into reality.

EIT FAN 2020

Walding discovers treasures in the fungi world and uses them to create tasty vegan products that are natural, sustainable and additive-free. Their main project is the cultivation of a unique tree mushroom called chicken of the woods. Three months after participating in EIT FAN, they are about to launch a new product, an innovative fungi-based burger!
